About

Striped garments have been around since the Middle Ages; except back then, they were considered “the Devil’s clothing”! Since then, stripes have come a long way, becoming an integral part of textile choices throughout the centuries.

Of course, striped garments can be found in at least a few collections every season, but what stood out to me for Spring 2013 was that a lot of designers showed striped tops and bottoms together (and not just suits!) , as well as full-length striped dresses.

This blog will track the development of the top and bottom/ head to toe stripes trend.  Will striped maxidresses and pantsuits trickle down from the runway to Athens? Only time will tell!
